DESCRIPTION:The Leipzig Book Fair 2025 will open its doors from March 27 to 30\, inviting visitors to a literary spring awakening under the motto “When (Book) Dreams Come True in Spring.” As the most important spring meeting of the book and media industry\, it connects readers\, authors\, publishers\, and media from around the world. ​ \nA special highlight is the appearance of the guest country Norway\, which\, under the slogan “Dream in Spring\,” will present its literary diversity. Around 40 Norwegian authors\, including best-selling stars such as Maja Lunde and Karl Ove Knausgård\, invite you to discover Norwegian literature in all its facets. ​ \nAt the same time\, the reading festival “Leipzig Reads” will take place\, Europe’s largest reading festival with over 2\,500 events at more than 300 reading venues. Reading fans can experience literature live in readings\, talk rounds\, and interactive activities. ​ \nAnother highlight is the awarding of the Leipzig Book Fair Prize\, which will be presented on March 27 at 4:00 PM in the Glass Hall. This year\, the prize will be awarded for the 21st time\, with nominations in the categories of fiction\, non-fiction/essay writing\, and translation. ​ \nThe Leipzig Book Fair 2025 thus promises to be a festival of books and stories\, where (book) dreams come true in spring.
